Flow pays mothers’ shopping bills

Flow was at various supermarkets in Tortola and Virgin Gorda on the weekend surprising almost 30 unsuspecting mothers at the check-out.

As mothers completed their weekly shopping, representatives of the telecoms company assisted with packing their bags.

When they were told the total cost of the goods, the reps stepped up and paid the entire shopping bills.

After settling the bills, the Flow staff further assisted by loading the goods into the lucky consumers’ vehicles.

Outgoing Marketing Launch Manager at Flow, Sarah Graham, commented: “Flow is excited to be able to give back to the community. A mother’s work is endless and, as a community, we must recognize the critical role that they play in raising the next generation to be responsible and valuable members of the community. Today, we wanted to help out a few mothers – to show our appreciation for what they do.”

Sandra Ortiz from Virgin Gorda, who happily received her Mothers’ Day gift from Flow, expressed delight. “I was so shocked that Flow was here giving back to the community like this. It is especially amazing they came all the way out to Virgin Gorda to help out mums here.”

Jen Madhuro, who works for the BVI Ports Authority on Tortola, threw her arms around Graham, saying: “I’m going to start bawling. Thank you so much. This means so much to me.”

The Flow representative, Graham, said: “I am so thrilled that one of my final public appearances for Flow is giving back to the community. Thank you to our Retail Service Assistance, Glendon Lamothe, for coming up with the idea. Flow just wants to show BVI mothers that we appreciate them for all that they do; and to wish all mothers a very happy Mothers’ Day.”
