Former law enforcer allegedly breaks into home, beats woman
A popular businessman known to operate in the Sea Cow’s Bay area was taken into police custody on reports of assault at the weekend.
The businessman, who is a former law enforcement officer, was reportedly apprehended in connection with a lovers’ quarrel, it is understood.
According to reports reaching BVI News, the man is said to have broken into his lover’s home where he reportedly beat her.
Usually-credible sources said the accused man also attacked a visitor who he discovered inside the woman’s premises at the time.
It is said he was taken into custody but was subsequently released because of a medical condition.
It is not clear whether the man has been charged but investigations are ongoing, BVI News understands.
His name is being withheld at this time.
