Get ready for Summer Sizzle BVI 2024

Summer Sizzle BVI has announced its 14th anniversary with a series of events from July 25-28.The festivities will kick off on July 25 with a Welcome Culture & Style Party held under the theme ‘A Taste of BVI’ at Prime Restaurant, featuring a lime green dress code.

On July 26, two key events will take place. The ‘When Art Meets Fashion Gala’ will provide a platform for local artists to showcase their work at Long Bay Beach Resort, with displays from Wednesday, July 24 to Friday, July 26. Additionally, skilled hair and makeup artists are invited to be part of Summer Sizzle’s beauty team at the Beauty Trends Event at the Wyndham Lambert Beach Resort. A masterclass will be led by esteemed Emmy-nominated Celebrity Makeup Artist and Beauty Entrepreneur, Ashunta Sheriff.

The highlight of the series, the Global Glamour Runway Show, will occur on July 27 at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex. The show will feature designer lineups, including BVI brands, and will be styled by Memsor Kamarake, Celebrity Stylist. The Children’s Presentation will be in partnership with “Who’s Styling Who” and Khaliah Clark, Celebrity Stylist.

Part of the activities is the Cape Air Dress-to-Impress contest, where the three best-dressed females and males will be selected by a judging panel to face off on the runway. The male and female winners will be determined by the crowd’s applause, with each receiving a round-trip ticket on Cape Air to anywhere the airline flies in the Caribbean.

The event will also feature an Elevated VIP Premium Experience, offering guests cocktails, wines, and hors d’oeuvres.

Summer Sizzle BVI was created by Terry Donovan in 2008. This year’s event will be hosted by renowned model and actress, Yaya DaCosta.
