Labour Department hosts successful resume writing workshop
The Department of Labour and Workforce Development announced they successfully completed a workshop in Resume Writing which was held on June 27.
The workshop was intended to empower job seekers with crucial skills to enhance their employability.
It covered fundamental topics such as crafting impactful summaries, structuring work experience, and presenting educational qualifications effectively.
The event held nine participants which was led by Eulet Evelyn, Sister Island Human Resources Manager and seasoned educator.
Interim Labour Commissioner, Mervin Hastings stated his satisfaction with the event’s outcome.
“Mrs Evelyn’s expertise and the dedication of our participants made this a truly enriching experience,” he said.
The Workforce Development manager, Roxane De Windt-Toussaint also commented on the event’s success.
“We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from the participants who appreciated the hands-on approach and practical insights shared,” she reiterated.
The department stated there will be additional workshops in the sister islands in the future.
