MHV Resorts & Hotels targeting Latin American market
Chief Marketing Officer for MHV Resorts and Hotels, Dalan Vanterpool, has revealed the company’s plans to focus on the Latin American market as part of its marketing efforts.
Speaking at the official opening of the Cane Garden Bay Beach Hotel and the Rhythm & Sands Restaurant and Bar on Friday, November 29, Vanterpool outlined the strategy.
“One of the things that’s very close to the group is thinking about the Latin-American market,” he said. “We’re trying to target that market more broadly.”
Vanterpool, who lived in Panama for eight years, described Latin America as a largely untapped market with significant potential.
“If you can get to that Latin American hub, you will see a different profile of tourists coming to the BVI that wouldn’t normally come based on our traditional target efforts in the tourism industry,” he added.
The marketing strategy is part of MHV’s larger plan to build a global franchise, starting with the Cane Garden Bay Beach Hotel. The property features one penthouse suite, three king-size rooms, six oceanfront suites, six queen-size rooms, three twin rooms, and two pool-water penthouse suites.
MHV Chairman Mark Vanterpool, Dalan’s father, had also announced plans to purchase the neighbouring “Coconut Breeze” property. The company intends to transform it into a residence inn catering to large families.
