Motorist reportedly attacked in drive-by shooting
BVI News has received reports of an attempted shooting targeting a motorist on Saturday, January 4.
According to highly-placed sources, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) responded to reports that gunmen fired more than half a dozen shots at a man’s vehicle as he drove near Cane Garden Bay over the weekend.
The incident is understood to have been a drive-by shooting. Despite the attack, the male motorist reportedly managed to outmanoeuvre the assailants and escape in his vehicle. Sources confirmed that the motorist did not sustain any major injuries.
Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
