One dead, one arrested, and three hospitalised following boat crash
One man has been pronounced dead and three others hospitalised following a boat collision involving two vessels late Saturday afternoon.
The police said the collision happened in waters outside the Prospect Reef area. The law enforcers further reported this morning, Sunday, October 17, that one person was arrested in relation to the incident.
The have not released the name of the deceased crash victim, the injured parties, or the arrested person.
“Police continue investigations,” Information Officer for the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, Diane Drayton said in brief statement to the media.
“All passengers are believed to be accounted for but inquiries continue to make the final determination,” she added.

Traveling at that they could not avoid such a collision ?
The Government should immediately require that all boat operators be certified and properly licensed and that all boats be inspected for safety.
