Pedestrian struck in front high school

A woman is being treated at Peebles Hospital after she was struck while she reportedly tried to use the pedestrian crossing in front Elmore Stoutt High School, Tortola.
The accident took place at nightfall.
The pedestrian was removed from the scene in an ambulance.
Members of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, who were also on the scene, were busy questioning the female driver whose green Suzuki jeep struck the pedestrian.
