Rock City performing

Patrons were treated to world-class performances from several artistes who rocked Road Town from last night up to almost daybreak today.

The event dubbed International Soca Night saw performances from Blaxx and the All Stars, Rupee, Tizzy, Orlando Octave, and the headlining duo Rock City.

Rock City – the act that closed the show – had patrons inside the festival village eating out of its palms as it delivered hits after hits.

The dynamic duo reeled off tunes such as Locked Away, Make Up, Checking For You, Crazy Love, Nobody Ready, Fete You, and Save My Soul.

The crowd sang word for word while most of those Rock City songs were being delivered.

The energetic duo ended the show in superb style.

But they were not the only acts that kept patrons inside the festival village well entertained.

Trinidadian singer Orlando Octave was a big crowd favourite – especially with his hit song, Single.

Rupee out of Barbados was another act that patrons could not get enough of. As soon as he belted out the popular line ‘You make me wanna -‘ from his age-old single titled Jump, the crowd did just that – jump, plus cheer and gyrate.

Rupee also delivered other long-time favourites such as Tempted To Touch and What Happens In De Party. He then gave patrons a taste of more recent selections such as I’ll Be Okay. The crowd clamoured for more when the Soca artiste’s set ended.

“Wait, he done already?” asked a female patron, who clearly was enjoying the performance.

Meanwhile, other performers were local artistes such as B’More, Monea, and the Evolution Band.
