PHOTOS: TPP comes alive with food, fun and fungi!

The BVI Tourist Board and Department of Culture opened the festive season on Friday, November 25 with a successful staging of the Cultural Food Fair & Fungi Fest at the Cyril B Romney Tortola Pier Park.

Fungi Fest is part of a series of events being done to celebrate Culture & Tourism Month 2022. The evening saw an array of cultural entertainment to include bands such as Took and the Boys from Anguilla and Sugar Hill String Band from Nevis.

Local fungi bands that also performed were Leon and the Hot Shots, The Lashing Dogs, Zion Sounds, The Razor Blades, 4 Strong International, and Cedar School Fungi Band.

“As a lover of music and culture and in my official capacity, I am proud to lead the return of the BVI’s premier cultural music showcase, the Fungi Fest,” Junior Tourism & Culture Minister, Alvera Maduro-Caines said ahead of the event.

    The Tourist Board has a festival competing with Anegada lobster fest?!! So who are they working for exactly?? What a disgrace. This Board needs to be disbanded immediately. Clearly they are not working in the interest of all BVISLANDERS.
