Police confirm key suspect in Nyron Erickson’s murder

The police have identified a key suspect in the recent murder of Nyron Erickson, which occurred last Saturday.

He is Trinidadian John Emmanuel, also known as Brent Danglade or “Small Brent.”

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force held a press conference today to update the territory on the crime situation and to provide an update on the investigation into the murder of Erickson.

Police also released additional photos of Small Brent to assist the public in identifying him.

Speaking at the press conference, Acting Deputy Police Commissioner Kenrick Davis said the RVIPF released a bulletin yesterday asking for the public’s assistance in locating Small Brent, who is wanted in connection with a recent murder. At the time, police did not specify which murder.

Davis, however, told the media today that after receiving more information, police are now in a better position to confirm that Small Brent is a major suspect in the murder of Erickson.

“We have traced, identified and made public the identity of one suspect… This wanted suspect about whom we promulgated a bulletin yesterday, is wanted in relation to murder of Nyron Erickson, which occurred last Saturday, 10th of May 2025,” Davis stated.

“We are looking for John Emmunael who prior had another identity Brent Danglade and he goes by the street name Small Brent. He’s from Trinidad and Tobago and he is currently in the territory insofar [as] we have been able to determine.”

He renewed calls for the public’s assistance in providing any information that could lead to the capture of the suspect.
