Police identify deceased man found in vehicle

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has identified the body of a man discovered in a vehicle on Wednesday, January 8, as 68-year-old Courtney Fahie.

According to the RVIPF, officers responded to reports of an unresponsive male in a derelict vehicle in the Long Swamp area shortly after 11 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found Fahie showing no signs of life. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police stated that their initial investigation has found no signs of foul play, as there were no indications of violence or suspicious markings on the body.

The RVIPF has encouraged anyone with information regarding the circumstances of Fahie’s death to contact the department at 368-9339 or 311. Investigations remain ongoing.
