Police link Long Bush shooting to ‘Money Boys’ Gang
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has informed the public about a gang named “Money Boys” linked to the recent shooting in Long Bush on Friday, November 8.
According to the RVIPF, the Money Boys gang consists of approximately 25 young men between the ages of 17 and 25, spread across communities throughout the Territory.
The gang is reportedly involved in various criminal activities, including the recent shooting of a young man named K’zhari Stoutt, and members are believed to possess unlicensed firearms.
“Over recent months, the RVIPF has intensified efforts to curb the gang’s activities, leading to multiple arrests, firearm and ammunition seizures, and the recovery of stolen goods from vehicles and addresses linked to gang members,” the RVIPF stated.
The RVIPF also noted that some community members have enabled gang members to evade arrest. Areas frequented by the gang across Tortola include Purcell Estate, Free Bottom, Baughers Bay, Road Town, Huntum’s Ghut, Greenland, and Long Look.
Expressing concern over rising gun violence, Detective Chief Inspector Davis urged communities to take a stand. “It is vital that we work together to remove this threat to peace and safety in our neighbourhoods. The safety of our young people and our community as a whole depends on everyone’s commitment to saying NO to violence and criminal behaviour,” Davis stated.
Earlier today, the RVIPF confirmed that a flyer with the names and photos of Shemoi Carey, 22, of Huntum’s Ghut, and K’Shawn Martin, 18, of Sand Box Road, identifies the two as suspects wanted in connection with the shooting. Stoutt, who underwent surgery, is now in stable condition as the search for these individuals continues.
The RVIPF cautions the public that the suspects are considered armed and dangerous, and has confirmed their affiliation with the Money Boys gang. The RVIPF advises individuals not to approach the suspects and instead to contact the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at 368-5323 with any information.
The RVIPF encourages anyone with information about this matter to contact the RVIPF’s Intelligence Unit at 368-9339 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 800-8477 (TIPS) or 1-284-800-8477 if calling from overseas.

So now we have two Money Boys Gangs. One on the streets and the other in the House of Assembly !
Young criminals running around in gangs on this small island creating havoc. They all need to be locked away at Balsum Ghut, every last one of them.
If they meet the requirement for deportation, they needs to be given their one way ticket back from whence they came.
Those who are enabling them and protecting them from arrest needs to be held accountable too and locked away.
If any convicted enablers meet the requirement for deportation, they too need a one way ticket out of here.
Enough of their criminal behavior. This island nation needs to rid itself of all of criminals by putting them where they belong: Locked away somewhere.
I am sure many of them are committing their crimes on those motorbikes. Those motorbikes are their getaway vehicles.
We need a ZERO tolerance for criminal activity. These islands need to be cleaned up of all of these young thugs.
They are lucky this country does not allow personal use of firearms as many would end up in the grave yard before their time, and put out of business.
If I was running this country, I will ensure the police, and DPP Office had all the resources they need to snuff out this problem. I will only need a singular term. I will have all their little behinds locked away. They blank around; they will find out.
I would have everyone who thugging and being an absolute pain in the neck to society locked away in Balsum Ghut where they belong.
If their parents didn’t raise them right, and they decide they wanted to be a pain in society’s neck, I will be waiting and ready for them.
Commit a crime? Right up Balsum Ghut you go. It need somebody with testicular fortitude who is unafraid to put them in their places.
If I have to build another wing at Balsum Ghut to hold them, I will do that. They are doing too much now. Tired of these menaces to society. Find a job and be a decent human being or else.
Somewhere along the way, be it their upbringing or lack of schooling they decided on a life of criminality as their way forward. Society need to say no to that…You are not going to rain havoc on the rest of us.
Act and behave right or else. Be a lawful citizen or face the consequences of your criminality. Enough.
Sad sad day in the BVI. God help us
