Robbers reportedly target VG establishment

BVI News has been informed that the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) responded to an attempted robbery on Virgin Gorda today, Sunday, May 26. The incident reportedly occurred at Leverick Bay Marina however nothing was taken.

Amateur video footage shared with our news centre showed members of the RVIPF’s armed response unit entering a building where the assailants were believed to be hiding at the time.

The would-be robbers reportedly escaped, BVI News was told. It is not yet clear whether anyone was injured in the incident. The police had not released an official statement up to the time of publication.
