Acting Sister Islands Coordinator Sasha Flax has been appointed president of an interim executive body for the Civil Service Association (CSA).

This followed a meeting with all association members on Tuesday, May 7 when candidates were elected to serve on the CSA’s executive committee.

Flax said she is elated to serve as the interim head of the organisation.

“With my executive board, we look forward to making notable recommendations to enhance the Public Service,” she said.

“The CSA seeks to uphold the highest values of professional service to the territory, through competent and committed persons, whose genuine interests are affirmed through membership in this association,” Flax added.

The election of this interim body was done in accordance with 7.4 (d) of the CSA’s constitution. Other members on the newly-elected body are Joshua Edwards — Vice President, Subrina Herbert — Secretary, Kishann Brathwaite — Assistant Secretary, Sharona Pickering — Treasurer, Linton Leonard — Public Relations Officer, and trustees Pasha Stoutt and Dawn Leonard.

The committee will continue to run the associations daily business and will function until the CSA’s Annual General Election, which is scheduled for Tuesday, November 12.

Civil servants alone! I see people going to what used to be prestigious offices dressed in what look like leggings and slippers. I wonder if hurricanes Irma and Maria still have an effect (:-)

Everyone in the photo is dressed professionally. There is no need for uniforms in professional settings. They all are dressed very nicely and appropriately.
