Should Governor apologise for airport incident?
Governor Daniel Pruce has stated that he has not been asked to apologise, nor has any complaint been lodged against him, following a recent incident at the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport where he allegedly lost his composure while boarding a flight.
Details surrounding the incident remain unclear, but it is alleged that Governor Pruce became visibly angry during an encounter with another passenger who was attempting to leave the territory.
At a recent press conference, political commentator Cindy Rosan asked the Governor whether he believes he owes the public an apology, given the significance of his role in the territory.
In response, the Governor said, “Up at the airport last week, there was a delay at the check-in counter which the staff resolved and I was grateful to them for doing so and I thanked them at the time. While that delay was occurring, a fellow passenger made a comment which wasn’t appropriate and for which he subsequently apologised and I accepted his apology. That’s what happened and those were the circumstances,” Pruce stated.
He added that no formal complaint had been made regarding the incident or his conduct, but said he would address the matter should someone come forward.
“No particular request of that sort has been put to me directly, no complaint has been put to me personally. Obviously, if that were to happen, then I would totally discuss and reflect on that with whoever was bringing such a complaint for direct approach,” Governor Pruce added.
The alleged incident has sparked public discussion about perceived double standards between elected officials and the UK-appointed Governor.
Some residents have also called for improvements to travel services for state representatives, suggesting they should be granted access to specialised travel arrangements and be exempt from the rigorous procedures that regular citizens face when travelling.

Yes, he should apologize! It was unbecoming especially from a public officer. It makes him look like a dud.
What did he do?
Until both the present and past governments acknowledge and take responsibility for the misuse of public funds, meaningful dialogue remains limited. In the meantime, our focus should be on advancing the country’s development and progress.”
Apologies for what? Where is the video of the alleged incident. We have major developments happening that can affect how the BVI operates on a day to day and then you see this gossip piece.

What is the actual complaint?

Not enough valid details and specifics given to make a conclusion.
However ,at a glance it appeared that the Gov was not afforded protocol which would have denied him the necessity of interacting directly with Reservation Personnel.
This factor then , if accurate would instead warrant an apology to the Governor and the peoples of these VI as it paints a humiliating picture of these VI with additional and further confirmation as lacking in civility, disrespectful and ignorant…after all is said and done, ,,

We do not wish to alter our reputation.
Previous Governors have suffered our behavior so why force ourselves to do what is habitual unnatural and unexpected.
The UK could become alarmed and release the battle ships ,an Operation BVI in our direction.
We are not comfortable with being “the better person”. We are simply self declared Christians, our biggest untruth.
