Tarik Aaron remanded, agrees to extradition proceedings
Tarik Aaron has been remanded following his appearance before the Magistrate’s Court in connection with an extradition request from the United States, according to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF).
The police confirmed in a statement issued on Tuesday that Aaron was arrested shortly before midnight on Friday, April 17 2026, on an extradition request from authorities in the United States.
He appeared in court on April 27, 2026, where he reportedly signed a no contest in relation to the extradition request for offences he allegedly committed in the United States, the RVIPF stated. Following the hearing, he was subsequently remanded to His Majesty’s Prison, the release added.
Authorities confirmed that the matter has now moved to the next stage of the legal process.
“The matter has now been referred to His Excellency the Governor, who will determine the next steps in accordance with the applicable extradition laws and procedures,” the RVIPF said.
The police did not provide further details on the specific charges underpinning the extradition request. However, court filings in the United States have linked Aaron to alleged drug trafficking activities spanning multiple jurisdictions. In one such filing, prosecutors alleged that “a drug trafficking organisation led by co-defendant Tarik Aaron mailed kilograms of cocaine into the Tampa Bay, Florida region from Puerto Rico for distribution”.
The same document outlined allegations that parcels containing cocaine were shipped to Florida addresses and that individuals associated with the operation handled payments and logistics on Aaron’s behalf while he was incarcerated in the Virgin Islands.
Those proceedings form part of a wider investigation by United States authorities into alleged narcotics trafficking and related financial activities. The allegations remain subject to judicial determination in the appropriate jurisdiction.
Locally, the extradition process is governed by law, requiring judicial review and executive consideration before any transfer can take place.
The Governor will now assess the matter in line with established extradition procedures to determine whether Aaron will be surrendered to United States authorities.

Unbelievale that there are still some people out here who are still willing to take the risk of importing drugs allegedly into the U.S. It’s a sure way to ruin their life forwever.
When the Feds come knocking with their extradition requests, they have already determined you you have committed a crime in the U.S.
Once you go before a Florida court, it’s highly likely a conviction will happen followed by a very long prison sentence after which a potential deportation is guaranteed after serving time if not a U.S. citizen.
We all have a short life. Why some people risk their lives and freedoms is beyond me, but who does not hear will feel one day.
People needs to understand that US Customs and Boarder Patrol is highly vigilant when it comes to drugs entering the country.
You will get caught, and when you do, count on spending many years of your life in their prison system which is nothing more than the new slave plantation as many of those prisons are privately owned with inmates working for little to nothing for companies.
The thirst for quick money typically has two outcomes, death or a prison cell with a boyfriend thrown in for good measure. Carry on at your own peril.
Remember, we never coughed up Bob…
