Tourist Board relocates headquarters

Geneva Place in Road Town is the new headquarters for the Tourist Board.

After sustaining significant damage from the three catastrophic disasters last year, the BVI Tourist Board (BVITB) has moved its headquarters to the Geneva Place building on Wickham’s Cay I.

The Board is operating on the third floor of the building.

BVITB Marketing Manager Keith Dawson said the Board does not plan to return to its De Castro Street location in Road Town.

Asked if the Board has considered erecting its own headquarters for operations, Dawson said an exclusive building would be ‘ideal’.

“BVITB will keep options open while being ever cognizant of the financial implications as a non-revenue producing statutory body,” he told BVI News.

Meanwhile, the Board said it was not able to say how much damage it sustained from the 2017 disasters.
