UPDATE: Woman in Sunday night’s shooting dies

The woman who was injured in Sunday night’s shooting has died.

Police have confirmed the shooting. However, the Information Unit of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force said they were not yet able to detail the circumstances of the incident to BVI News.

“Investigations are ongoing. I will revert once more information becomes available,” Acting Press Officer, Akia Thomas, told our news centre.

A woman has been injured following a shooting on Tortola Sunday night, May 26.

BVI News understands that the woman has since been taken to hospital for treatment. Her condition or the extent of her reported injuries are not yet clear.

The circumstances of the reported incident are also not clear.
