VG parade takes centre stage at 2025 Easter Fest
Virgin Gorda came alive with colour, culture, and celebration on Easter Monday, April 21, as the island hosted its annual parade during the 2025 Virgin Gorda Easter Festival.
The parade got underway around noon with a vibrant procession that began at Buck’s Food Market and made its way along Lee Road, finishing at the Berton Creque Festival Village near the Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour. The event featured a variety of troupes, including the Rosewood Little Dix Bay Revellers, who participated alongside traditional moko jumbies and other local performers.
Festival Honouree Berton Creque, for whom the festival village was named, was recognised for his longstanding contribution to the community. He described the honour as making him “feel like a celebrity”.
The parade was one of several activities held over the weekend, which also included musical performances, the Rise and Shine Tramp, and other cultural showcases. The Virgin Gorda Easter Festival remains one of the territory’s most cherished events, bringing people together through dance, music, and shared traditions.

Ah dohn see anything in those photos that tell me what VG Easter celebrations was about. Looked like some ghetto party through the streets. No sah! Where’s the photos of the troupes? The hats etc…?
J’ouvert moved but still the parade started more than 3 hours late! People who traveled there on Monday left without seeing the parade. This is a crying shame with end in sight, and no reason or apology for the late start. A country with such tardiness is symbolic of other issues.
why are the fattiest chicks always the ones in the streets showing the most, yuck
