Vikings, Falcons and Knights win openers of Peter Haycraft T10 Tournament

The Peter Haycraft T10 Cricket Tournament kicked off on Sunday, September 15, with three matches at Greenland, Tortola.

In the first match, Vikings CC defeated Cavaliers CC by nine runs. The Vikings scored 129 for 3, while the Cavaliers, who won the toss and chose to field, were bowled out for 120 in 9.5 overs. Vikings’ Deco Khemraj was named Man of the Match for his 52 runs.

In the second match, RTW Falcons triumphed over Grenada CC, who opted to bat after winning the toss. Grenada posted 97 for 5 in 10 overs, and the Falcons chased down the target with ease, winning by nine wickets in 8.1 overs. Falcons’ Joel Williams was the Man of the Match with 55 runs.

The final game of the day saw the Royal Knights take on the VI Combined Renegades. The Knights, who won the toss and chose to bat, scored 115 for 6. The Renegades could only manage 66 for 5 after their full 10 overs. Richard Francis of the Royal Knights led his team to victory with an unbeaten 65 runs.

The tournament continues with more exciting cricket action.

The Peter Haycraft T10 Cricket Tournament, established in 2022 by the BVI Cricket Association (BVICA), honors the memory of Peter Haycraft, the former founder of RTW Ltd who passed away in 2021.
