A 20-year-old man was allegedly arrested and charged earlier this week after police discovered that he was carrying more than 100 pounds of weed.

It’s understood that police officers on patrol observed the young man riding a motorcycle. Shortly after passing the area where the cops were stationed, the young man lost control of the bike and reportedly fell on the road.

The cops reportedly rushed to assist him and that’s when they noticed the smell of marijuana. Further checks revealed that the young man had the marijuana stashed away in the seat of the motorcycle.

The exact quantity of drugs remains unknown, but highly placed sources say it weighed over 100 pounds. The young man was later charged with marijuana. His vehicle was also seized by the police.

In the meantime, the young man — who reportedly resides in Carrot Bay — was offered bail and is reportedly set to appear in court in the coming weeks.
