BVI hotels earn top mentions from US travel magazine

Rosewood Little Dix Bay on Virgin Gorda has been named the number-one hotel and resort in the BVI and ranked among the world’s best luxury hotels in the 2021 US News & World Report Best Hotels rankings.

The US News & World Report Best Hotels ranking is highly regarded in the international travel industry and lists more than 30,000 hotels and resorts around the world. 

Rosewood Little Dix Bay was also named the number-nine best resort in the Caribbean, the number-14 best hotel in the Caribbean and the number-one resort on Virgin Gorda. 

This is the resort’s first highly regarded distinction in US News & World Report awards since its reopening and extensive renovation in January 2020.

Gold Badge for BVI resorts

Rosewood Little Dix Bay and Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina both received the prestigious Gold Badge from the US ranking entity. The Gold Badge signifies the top 10 percent of all ranked luxury hotels in their respective destination.   

The BVI hotels which were ranked as the top 5 in the territory include:

1. Rosewood Little Dix Bay (VG)

2. Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina (Scrub Island) 

3. Sugar Mill Hotel (West End)

4. Bitter End Yacht Club (Virgin Gorda)

5. Fort Recovery Beachfront Villa & Suites (Tortola)

      Don’t think a major US entity gives two craps about local political parties in the BVI. I doubt anyone outside of the BVI cares about BVI politics. Half of BVI don’t even care.

    Actually a useless rating system based on out of date rumor speculation etc. Note the so called top two are big chains who advertise in US News. Local hotels do not

    When guests them selves vote the results are different

    Trip advisor gives Guana Island, Anagada Beach Club and Sugar Mill 5 stars

    Little Dix and Scrub Island get four and a half.
