Police investigating another Sea Cows Bay bar robbery

Police have launched an investigation into an armed robbery at a popular bar in Sea Cows Bay, the second such incident in less than a month.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) stated that the robbery occurred late on Monday night, 12 May. “Reports indicate that several armed individuals entered the establishment and demanded valuables,” the RVIPF stated.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

Officers responded swiftly and are now working closely with persons connected to the case. “Police responded promptly and have since launched an investigation. Officers are maintaining communication with key persons connected to the incident and are providing updates as the investigation progresses,” the Force explained.

Authorities are urging the public to help identify the suspects. “The RVIPF is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has information that could assist with this investigation to contact the Intelligence Unit at 368-9339, or anonymously via Crime Stoppers at 800-8477 (TIPS) or overseas to (284) 800-8477,” the Force added.

The robbery follows a similar incident reported on 20 April, when two armed men stormed another bar in the same area around 8 pm. In that case, masked suspects allegedly pointed firearms at bartenders and patrons, demanding cash and valuables. High-value items were taken, and the suspects fled before police arrived.

That investigation remains ongoing. CCTV footage has been reviewed and witnesses interviewed, but no arrests have been made.

This latest robbery highlights continued public concern about rising crime. The RVIPF recently reported a 12 percent increase in crime in 2024, with many incidents linked to organised gang activity. However, the police also noted that their detection rate stands at 49 percent, aided by new technology such as surveillance cameras and DNA tools.

“The Force remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of communities throughout the territory,” the RVIPF affirmed.

look at the workers or the hookers if you prefer to call them that, they call in their bfs to rob patrons once they see individuals with high value items round their necks, on their wrists and their wallets full
