Prince Charles tests positive for coronavirus

The eldest child and heir apparent of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles has tested positive for the coronavirus.

The Prince’s office said in a statement on Wednesday that the 71-year-old is displaying mild symptoms “but otherwise remains in good health”.

He and his wife Camilla — the Duchess of Cornwall — are now self-isolating at home in Scotland.

“It is not possible to ascertain from whom the prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks,” the aforesaid statement from the Prince’s office further said.

In the meantime, Prince Charles his reported to have last seen his mother, the Queen, roughly two weeks ago on March 12. The Queen, however, is reported to be in ‘good health’.

The number of coronavirus deaths in the UK — the BVI’s parent country — now stands at 427, with more than 8,000 confirmed cases of the virus.

Hope that Prince Charles, heir to the throne, recover quickly from the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) disease. The lesson from the Prince’s ailment, if there is one, is that the virus does not discriminate by age, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual preference, national original, rich, poor, capitalists and socialists…….etc. We must all go all out to prevent, contain, control and mitigate the virus.
