Rocked! Malone hints at his “friend and brother” who retired

Malone

Territorial At-Large Representative Carvin Malone has bemoaned the political turbulence that has beset the BVI in the past several months, saying he isn’t sure which event has been ‘rocked’ him the most.

Among other references, Malone dropped hints about the recent arrests of high-ranking public officers including the case against former Education Minister Myron Walwyn that is highly publicised and has divided some sections of the public.

He even mentioned a retirement, which he suggested affected him personally.

“Things are moving so fast. And between the COI and all that is happening in the world, I’m not sure which one is rocking my boat the most,” Malone said in the House of Assembly on November 24. “People getting arrested, their cases tried before it starts, my friend and brother retired. All of this and we basically have our heads in the sand as if none of this happened,” said Malone who did not expressly state his friend’s name.

But earlier in that same sitting of the House, Speaker Corine Georges Massicote had read a letter from former Premier Andrew Fahie, which served as his official resignation as First District Representative and his retirement from representational politics.

Malone, who previously served as Health and Social Development Minister under the previous Fahie administration, is known to be a close friend to the former Premier who is currently facing drug and racketeering charges in the US.

He recently revealed that his closeness to Fahie caused him to be removed from that ministerial post when the Government of National Unity was formed when the United Kingdom threatened to take over the BVI.

Now a member of the parliamentary Opposition, Malone said he removed himself from the post because he didn’t want to stand in the way of the territory’s progress.

In the meantime, elected leaders and members of the Virgin Islands Party have stayed away from commenting on Fahie’s case, which is currently before the courts.

However that hasn’t stopped the public from weighing in on the matter. Some sections of the public are standing by Fahie as “one of the BVI’s own” while others have condemned his alleged actions which they say have disgraced the territory.

That situation with Myron Walwyn, Lorna Stevens and Kelvin Thomas is a stitch up to justify their failed corruption allegations in the COI report. Breach of Trust on procedure? Not theft. Not fraud. Not conflict of interest. Pure nonsense. I want them to drop a law suit on them when this charade is over.

It is amazing how the biasness of many of you are clear, you have pronounced Myron innocent until proven guilty but pronouncing fahie guilty with no chance of being innocent. A set of hypocrites.

Myron case is tight because we the people knew what went down with the wall we know nothing about fahie and the set-up operations so mark my words cry for funny man not the boxn bummer

    • Sorry bout that says:

So you complaining because you expected people to be stomping on Myron and it aint happening how you hoped? That’s your gripe. Myron is a saint compared to Andrew and most of the other politicians. Myron was somebody who went out of his way to help people and we know he aint no scamp.

Regardless of what you may think the two people who would have been wrangling with the UK now would have been Myron and Fahie. We know it. They know it. Fahie get set up and he fell for for the bait so they got him. Myron ain’t like Fahie so you wouldn’t catch him like that. So they come with breach of trust over procedures. I worked in the service for 30 years. Ministers do not deal with procedures so I don’t know where that charge came from. Anyways, in order for the UK to have their way they got to get the two bull dogs out of the way. They trying to tie up Myron so that he don’t run and they could get back Slowande and his team. They could manipulate them but it wouldn’t be easy with any team with somebody like Myron on it.

If you knew what went down with the wall I hope you would do your civic duty and make a statement to the police about it. Unless you are going to do that then shut your deceitful mouth. We are crabs in a bucket and we do not intend to do any better. We see how the UK citizens are taking over the place but yet we continue to use our energy to try to destroy our own rather than fight the real enemy. We are sick people who have been colonized to the point of no return. It’s is probably best the UK takeover because we seem completely hopeless. The my way M—n them didn’t follow procedure but you still here trying to give the impression that something huge and corrupt happened with the project. You did think if they had anything big they would have charged them with that?

The BVI is being played like a fiddle by the UK and the blind locals cannot see. They could only see to hate their brothers and sisters from the Caribbean but the UK citizens having a ball at their expense. You have over 100 UK police officers here having a work vacation but you get them coming in to help solve murders. It is in their interest to make us look corrupt so the place swarm with them manufacturing stories to fit in their plan. Didn’t you see them on the police boat hanging out with friends during the lobster fest. If our local officers did that it would maybe some charge. Breach of trust they using for everything these days.
