He is a known ~b__ man~, but I won’t judge him without knowing the facts of what happened.

He should be charged with attempted murder. If the Hispanic man was holding the knife to the throat of the Tortola man then that would be the charge and he would be in prison by now. Two standards in the racist Territory

If u feel this is a Racist Territory, you don’t have to stay. Why don’t you go home to your Country. You’ll be better off there.
If your Country was that good to you, you wouldn’t have been here.
For those of you who agrees with that person racist comments, you all can do the same, keep stepping.

I am the daughter of an immigrant. My great grandfather migrated from Virgin Gorda to the Dominican Republic and formed a family. My family in turn came here to claim their “birthrights” at a young age. Little did they know that the sacrifices and humiliations they would have to endure in this “foreign country” would be so great. There are some of us who don’t know any other country as home but this one. Our families left their homes 30 – 40 years ago and raised their families here. But because of the racism and prejudice are still considered and treated like outsiders!!!! If the Hispanic man had a big last name like Penn or Smith for example, the assailant would be behind bars. This “I from here” mentality is going to be the end and detriment of this territory. Naturalization and rights have no say!!!! Get a grip!!!!

You could not have said that line any better..I quote.”..island people need to chill out and stop trying to be on the same level as locals”..end of quote. No way in history can island people be on the same level as locals. We work hard and pay taxes. WE DON’T SIT ON THE BLOCK ALL DAY AND PLAN TO GO AND ROD BUSINESS PLACES AND FOLKS HARD EARNED MONEY. WE GO TO WORK WHEN WE HAVE TO. EVEN IF THE CURRENT IS OFF OR THE PLACE IS FLOODED WE GO REGARDLESS. WE DON’T STAY AT HOME BECAUSE THERE IS A DARK CLOUD IN THE HORIZON, ASSUMING IS GOING TO RAIN….WE GO REGARDLESS. WE DON’T STAY AT HOME FROM WORK BECAUSE WE GET UP IN THE MORNING AND SNEEZE TWICE THEN CALL IN SICK. YOU ARE JUST A SET OF PEOPLE THAT WANT MONEY BUT DON’T WANT TO WORK FOR IT.

If the Tolian committed the crime, he should do the time..

..As for migratory patterns, all of us at some point will be visitors in many foreign lands, whether for recreational, educational, medical or economical purposes. And we would all like to be treated humanely.

Similarly, migrants to these Virgin Islands, too, with the appropriate administration of the laws, should be treated humanely.

..Let us all strive to be and treat humanely to each other!

It’s so true, we Tortolians cannot go to any of you all Country and be on the same level as you guys, so why should we allow you all to do it here.
Let me remind all of you, all them Caribbean Countries have folks that “DO NOT” work either and just sit on corners too. They love money too and don’t wanna work for it and a number of Crimes happen in you all Countries too, including “death” because of this.
The sad part is, it’s not only the guys not working in you all Country but the women as well. They’re all lazy and rely on family abroad to take care of them.
Stop being “haters” but I’ll leave one thing with you all,” There’s No Place Like Home” so you all should know what that means. KEEP STEPPING.
