Power has been restored at the Terrance B Lettsome International Airport on Beef Island and the facility has now reopened.
Electricity was restored at the facility at 1:15 pm, Diana Maduro of the BVI Airports Authority told BVI News.

The Terrance B Lettsome International Airport on Beef Island is experiencing an unscheduled closure.
The facility was closed after experiencing difficulties with its power supply Tuesday morning.
“The main electricity is out and we’ve had some issues with the generators. We have sourced the parts and we’re currently working to restore power via the generators,” Diana Maduro of the BVI Airports Authority administrations told BVI News.
Normalcy is expected to return to the airport before the day ends, BVI News was further told.
Closure of the airport means air traffic in and out of the facility is completely halted.
